Stewardship

Comprehensive Christian stewardship is much more than financial giving.  It is finding ways to use all our gifts to their fullest.  It is trying to love God, others and ourselves with all that we are and all that we have.  This includes individual financial giving to the church and includes the church’s wise use of gifts given and of the congregation’s assets.  Our finance committee works with our annual church budget and coordinates our annual giving campaign.  The Trustees oversee our building, handle legal matters, and administer large gifts or estates given directly to the church.  The First United Methodist Church Foundation receives gifts intended to secure the long-term financial stability of our congregation and support its mission.
