One resource is the book, “The Four Agreements (a Toltec Wisdom book)”

This four-week series uses the popular framework of “The Four Agreements” as a conversation partner while allowing the letter of JAMES to shape the theology. Each week invites the congregation to practice a Christ-Centered way of living marked by wisdom, grace, humility, and faithful action.

Series Scripture/Memory verse: James 1:19 – “Let everyone be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger.”

  • September 6 – Labor Sunday/Holy Communion/PRIDE/Baptism. David Bard, (Bishop David Bard’s son) will be preaching. David has adopted Duluth as his hometown. He is a cradle Methodist, following his Dad's pastoral career- moving from St. Paul to Roseau to Dallas to Pengilly to Alexandria. He spent many years in our congregation. He currently works as a Union Rep for AFSCME Council 5. He and his wife, Becca, live in Shakopee.

  • September 13 – KICK OFF SUNDAY. The start of Sunday School. Sermon - Ancient Wisdom: Be Impeccable With Your Word. James 1:19, 3:1-12; Ephesians 4:25-32.
